Born in South Carolina a really long time ago, I was raised there and in Virginia. I went to college at Michigan State University (Go Green!), then to law school at University of Michigan (Go Blue!). I practiced estate planning and probate law in Dallas long enough to know I hated it (and to pay off my student loans), then I fled to Hawaii. After 20-some years on Maui, I moved to Lakeway in 2009. It is Texas but with hills and trees!
I have held a wide variety of jobs, recently doing dispute resolution online from home–which was fabulous until it wasn’t. In 2022, I took some me-time, running for Council (which did NOT work out) and giving early retirement a spin. I got bored and and am working again.
As a happily crazy cat lady, of course I have a page here for my sweet girls—Maxie, Tulip and Peanut.
I am also very fond of our deer here in town, as you might be able to tell….

This is MY website, and these are MY views.
What I believe comes, in part, from reading, watching and listening to a variety of news sources. Locally, I have for several years attended Council meetings, ZAPCO meetings, WAC meetings and many other city committee meetings, Open Houses, Candidate Debates, and other civic events. Also, I have researched things like campaign contributions and voting patterns. Mostly–I pay attention.
You may well disagree. That’s fine, and you are welcome to create your own blog to vent your views. Also, you can send me a rant via the Contact page. I might even reply.
